## THE RULES AT A GLANCE

One challenge = 10 level 1 gem upgrades, filmed and posted as a reply to the announcement.

-   Base score = km on the odometer × failure rate of the challenge with the most failures (10% per failure, up to 100%; a Rainbow gem counts as a failure).
-   +200 points per additional challenge.
-   −300 points per video showing 3 level 2 upgrades.

Example from the announcement: 9 failures and 7'000 km give 6'300; one more challenge, +200; one set of level 2 upgrades, −300: score 6'200.

## HOW THE RESULTS WERE COUNTED

**THE METHOD**

-   All 542 posts in the contest thread were read, including replies that players posted under their own previous entries. Of these, 533 contain an upgrade video. The other 9 are the announcement post, comments, two recaps, a distance screenshot, a reaction GIF and an entry with no video.
-   In each video, every upgrade shows a confirmation, then a result: a shining Lv 2 gem is a success; broken gems (Unsuccessful) are a failure; a Rainbow Gem Lv 1 also counts as a failure.
-   The video takes precedence: if the result or distance in the video differs from the post, the video counts. A result that never appears on screen counts as a failure only if the post says so.
-   Distance: the total on the badge under the avatar, in the video of the challenge with the most failures. If there is a tie, the most recent video is used.
-   Deadline: 4 October 2026, 23:59 UTC. All entries were posted on time. The first two videos from [@PolyGST](https://x.com/PolyGST), posted before the official start (9 August, 11:00 UTC), are counted.
-   Long videos are split into sets of 10, in order: [@Super\_Taxy](https://x.com/Super_Taxy) (videos of 49 and 200 upgrades, and two of 20; 44 challenges in all) and [@SanMao18251801](https://x.com/SanMao18251801) (20 upgrades). In the six videos with 11 upgrades, only the first 10 count.
-   Ten upgrades spread over several videos in the same post count as one challenge: [@Punky3107](https://x.com/Punky3107), [@ralphrimet](https://x.com/ralphrimet) and [@GEAZI\_7](https://x.com/GEAZI_7).
