STEPN terms, explained in a sentence or two. The Rules and Polygon pages link here.

TOKENS AND ACCOUNTS

TOKEN: A digital currency, also called a cryptocurrency. STEPN uses GST and GMT, plus a little SOL, BNB or POL to pay fees.
NFT: A unique digital item, recorded on a blockchain (a public online register). In STEPN, every sneaker is an NFT. Its price can go up or down.
GST: Green Satoshi Token: the game token you earn by walking. It's used to repair and level up sneakers, upgrade gems and mint. Each realm has its own.
pGST: The GST of the Polygon realm.
sGST: The GST of the Solana realm.
GMT: Green Metaverse Token: STEPN's governance token, shared by all three realms. It's used for high levels and advanced upgrades.
SPENDING ACCOUNT: The in-app account you play with: sneakers, gems, GST.
WALLET: The crypto wallet built into the app, protected by 12 secret words. You use it to receive and send tokens.
FSL: Find Satoshi Lab, the studio that created STEPN.
FSL ID: The account shared across FSL's services, needed for the web marketplace (m.stepn.com, MOOAR).
DOOAR: STEPN's decentralised exchange.
MOOAR: FSL's NFT marketplace.
BURN: Destroying tokens or items. A burn reduces the amount in circulation.
FLOOR: The lowest asking price for a type of item on the marketplace.

REALM: One of the blockchains STEPN OG runs on: Solana, BNB or Polygon. Sneakers and GST can't move from one realm to another.
P COUNTRY (P国): Players' nickname for the Polygon realm.

SNEAKER: The game's virtual shoe. You buy it in the app, then you walk with it to earn GST. It is an NFT: it belongs to you and you can resell it.
ENERGY: Rewarded walking time: 1 Energy = 5 minutes. It refills by 25% every 6 hours.
HP: A sneaker's Health Points. Below 20%, it no longer counts towards Energy; at 0%, it can no longer be used.
DURABILITY: A sneaker's condition, out of 100: it goes down with every walk and is repaired with GST. Below 50/100, earnings go down.
LEVEL: From 0 to 30. Each level gives attribute points; some milestones unlock gem sockets.
ATTRIBUTES: Efficiency (GST per Energy), Luck (Mystery Boxes), Comfort (HP and GMT), Resilience (Durability).
RAINBOW: A sneaker that only earns GMT. Also the name of a type of gem reserved for these sneakers.
MINT: Creating a Shoebox from two parent sneakers of level 5 or above.
SHOEBOX: What a mint produces. You open it to get the new sneaker.
MINTING SCROLL: The item you need to mint. You find it in Mystery Boxes.
ENHANCEMENT: Burning 5 sneakers of the same quality to get one of the next quality up.
FUSION: Burning a sneaker to try to improve the base attributes of another one of equal or higher quality.

GEM: An item that boosts an attribute. Each gem goes in a socket of the same colour; three gems of the same level can make one gem of the next level.
SOCKET: A gem slot on a sneaker, unlocked at levels 5, 10, 15 and 20.
MYSTERY BOX (MB): A reward that drops at random while you walk. It contains GST, gems and scrolls.

KAIOKEN: A player technique: start walking just before an Energy refill, so you can spend more Energy in a single session.
MOONWALKING: The app isn't counting your walking (weak GPS or unnatural movement): no earnings.
AIRWALKING: Some session data is missing. You need to stop the session.
SMAC: STEPN's anti-cheat system, which checks every session.
TURING SCORE: The account's anti-cheat rating, from 0 to 120. Below 81, withdrawals are blocked.
